Junior Training

All training is at Woollam Playing Fields, St Albans.

Those not familiar with Woollam, it is on the left-hand side on the road between Harpenden and St Albans going towards St Albans. When you get to the site, the hockey pitch is at the far end of the site. You have to go past all the rugby pitches first. If the car park at the end is full there is a large over flow car park.

All training fixtures will be on teamo so each age group can confirm their availability on attending the sessions. This will allow the coaches to have visibility of attendees, so can plan the session accordingly.

Terms Dates - 2024

Sunday 7th January - Junior Training Starts for all age groups (see timetable below)

Monday 8th January - U10/U12 and U14 Boys Junior Training starts

Wednesday 10th January - U16 Boys (note moved from Monday to Wednesday evening with Mens - Rest of the Club Training)

There will be a half term break on 18th and 19th February. The last session of the season will be on the Sunday 24th and Monday 25th March.

Training Times

U10 Boys welcome on Sunday if they can't make the Monday Session *

U16 Boys welcome to attend the U14 Boys training if they can't make Wednesday Session *

Any cancellations to training will be communicated via the coaches directly, plus please look out for notification on teamo if a session has been cancelled.  Generally, the only time we cancel sessions is with heavy snow / frozen pitches. U8, U10G, U14G, U16G and Boys all have WhatsApp groups that the coaches use to communicate with parents. If you are not in the relevant group for your child let me know and I will ask the head coach to add you. U12G use emails.

The club uses teamo to manage all the Juniors, it is used to provide communication of training, fixture, availability etc.
